Over 400 Vehicles support our 2nd White Horse Show!
We expected a lot more vehicles at our 2nd White Horse Vehicle Show after the popularity of our first, but were all stunned by the support we received on the day with a whopping 400 vehicles in attendance, and over 2500 visitors through the gate!
This year we had visitors coming from far and wide with their exhibits, and with a revised site plan we were able to accommodate everyone with the space they enjoyed from last year, while putting on more food and entertainment to boot!
Westbury President Michelle Strout said “It was an absolutely fantastic event. Everyone involved worked so hard. A huge thank you to all who exhibited their vehicles, all the stallholders and everyone who came to support our event.
“I am so proud of all the Lions and volunteers who made it such a fantastic event. It makes it all worthwhile as we have received so much positive feedback and everyone has said how much we had improved in just one year following our first event last year. Nearly all of the exhibitors said that they would return again next year.
“We have also taken on board feedback from the public, exhibitors and stallholders to make next year bigger and better. Thanks must also go to Julian Richards who was our compere throughout the event, all the acts on the stage and all who helped out. Yesterday made me very proud to be a Lion!”
The event raised over £10k, which will be split between the welfare funds of Westbury and Trowbridge Lions Clubs, and in due course will be used to support community needs and causes across our little corner of West Wiltshire.
Many thanks to the sponsors, volunteers and all the wonderful exhibitors who helped make this show a massive success – follow our Facebook page for more news and plans for next years show!
