Donkey Derby raises £4k for local causes

Despite a near miss with our donkeys almost not turning up (who would have known Donkeys get flat tyres too!) everything went without a hitch, and our own Lions food stall proved incredibly popular with visitors.

With the combined takings from the gate and our Lions run stalls, our final total for the day came to over £4000! These funds are now kept in our club fundraising account, for distribution to local causes.

Huge thanks to everyone who came along and supported our Donkey Derby this year, and especially the volunteers and sponsors, Privetts Heating and Plumbing, who helped fund the event costs to maximise the return for the community.
