About Us

Westbury Lions are a group of people from all walks of life, both male and female, with a common interest in helping our local community.

We are part of Lions Clubs International, the worlds largest voluntary service organisation with 1.3 million members serving in over 200 countries.  In Britain alone there are over 920 Lions Clubs all focused on improving their local communities and supporting worldwide needs such as disaster relief and eradicating disease.  Specifically in the UK, we are members of District 105SC, and within our particular Zone of 105SC our fellow clubs are the Lions Clubs of Trowbridge, Warminster, Westbury, Bradford on Avon and Gillingham, Shaftesbury and Mere (GMS) and Salisbury.

Westbury Lions meet twice a month for business and committee meetings. These meetings progress a range of topics including fund raising, welfare and social events. Our meetings start at 7:30pm and are held every second and fourth Thursday of the month, at the United Reformed Church Hall which is accessed from The Butts, off Warminster Road, Westbury.

In addition to our fund raising activities Westbury Lions also run an active social calendar!  Recent activities include a games nights, several dinners including an annual black tie dinner and dance which celebrates the formation of our club, a skittles night and a BBQ.

So as well as helping to raise money for good causes joining Westbury Lions is a great way to meet like minded people.  If you are an existing resident of Westbury and the surrounding villages or new to the area and would like to expand your social circle, why not consider joining Westbury Lions. See the Contact Us page for different ways of getting in touch.

Do you have a project that might benefit from our help, or think you might like to get involved with Westbury Lions Club and support our community? If so, please use the Contact Us form to get in touch.  We look forward to hearing from you!
